I find it incredibly amusing that much of the anti-MRA hostility towards me dissipates upon learning that I’m a lesbian

I had friends in HS who wore his shirts. It was deplorable and when I pointed out people actually went, “whatever” and continued on wearing it. How can people be so stupid?

Why I Don’t Need Feminism
“Feminism is the radical idea that women are people”
Feminism has achieved incredible amounts in the past 100 years. Women have been enfranchised, gained access to education and unlike centuries past are able to pursue meaningful careers. For this, everyone, myself included, is thankful.
In modern times, feminist rhetoric spouts that they are about equality and act as if they have a monopoly on the belief - anyone that doesn’t openly associate themselves with feminism is a bigot. The ideology focuses solely on female issues, both real and perceived, to the detriment of others. While “what about teh menz” is so often used mockingly against MRAs, important indicators of quality of life that suggest disparity between men and women in certain areas are ignored: men are currently achieving more poorly in school and attending college in fewer numbers, have higher suicide rates, suffer workplace death more often and live shorter lives. This is half the population we’re talking about. While this issues go unadressed by any significant social movement (MRAs are understandly small in number due to the stigma attached to them) the feminist camp spends significant resources addressing trivial issues - look at the amount of moral and financial support Anita Sarkessian got for her series on..wait for it…the depiction of women in video games. Feminism claims to care about equality between the sexes yet ignores significant male issues in favour of trivialities - she doesn’t even address significant (and that’s the key word here) women’s issues.
I don’t need feminism because I believe in the equality between ALL people. While there are homeless people on the streets because they haven’t received treatment for drug/gambling/mental health issues, while there is intergenerational life long unemployment because of lack of educational and career opportunities and while LGBT teens commit suicide because of the daily bullying they receive I will not listen to a white, middle class, college educated woman (hmmmm can you smell that priviledge?) simultaneously complain that she’s oppressed because she got told to make a sandwich after she tried to make a man feel ashamed of his masculinity and assert that she genuinely cares about equality between the sexes.
I don’t need feminism because I believe in equality between all people and from what I’ve seen and read so far in my time on this earth, the feminist tag acts as a set of blinkers, blocking out PEOPLE’S RIGHTS when they belong to any demographic other than the female one.
I’ve yet to see anyone explain why men are and were expected to support and if needed die for the benefit of women, throughout history, if women were thought of as “less than people”.
Sure is weird how almost all of these pithy definitions of feminism leave out Patriarchy Theory and prioritizing the good of women over men all the time. Also weird is the insistence on telling people they have to call themselves feminists, trying to dragoon them into the movement. Odd sort of “equal rights”

I had no way out. I had no money. When I participated in the “Woods v.” lawsuit, WEAVE was named among the co-defendants. The director of WEAVE emphatically stated that they did provide services to men, they had always provided services to men, they would continue to provide services to men, and that our allegations were a lie. She was either sadly misinformed about how her staff functioned, or she was telling a fib.
Incidentally, Cali practices Predominant Aggressor policies, which basically say “Men are perpetrators of domestic violence, women are victims of domestic violence”. The “disgusting pig” part is implicit.
Fact is a lot of these statistics of gun deaths… Include those killed in self-defense
